Joe and I had a good windsurf session tday from the Estuary at Ynyslas. There was a decent ESE wind blowing and we sailed out through the channel to the main channel in front of Aberdovey and then had a mad downwind journey with about 30-40 gybes to the out at sea where there were some small waves to play on. The water over the bars was fairly shallow though so we ran the risk of running aground each time we caught a wave. I then decided that it was a little dodgy to stay out there just in case the wind dropped as we'd be stuck out there with an offshore wind and not enough power to tack back to shore so we started the long journey back upwind with another load of gybes and tacks to get there. We then slowly worked our way back up the channel to where we started from. Nothing special, but still a good day.
